Arizona's Generic Ballot and Trends

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — October 26, 2018

More than half of Arizona voters have already sent in their ballots.

59% of voters have already sent in their ballots. 29% plan on sending in their ballot, but have not, and 12% plan on voting at the polls.

Right direction is going up.

The amount of Arizonans who think the state is going in the right direction has gone up three points, to 49%. Those who think the state is on the wrong track remain at 38%.

Immigration up 6 points among top issues.

Top issues are consistent, with immigration, education and health care being the most important to voters. Since our last poll, immigration has risen by 6 points, to 37%. Education has gone down 7 points, to 25%, and health care has risen 5 points, to 19%.

Trump job disapproval going up.

Trump's job approval has gone down slightly, to 54%. The amount of voters who disapprove has risen two points, to 46%.

More Republicans among congressional voters.

Of Arizona's congressional voter turnout, 50% consider themselves Republican, 41% are Democratic, 4% are other and 5% have no opinion or do not know.

Methodology: This 42% landline and 58% cell phone poll was completed by OH Predictive Insights on October 22–23, 2018, from a likely 2018 General Election voter sample. The sample demographics accurately reflected party affiliation, gender, region, and age. Sample size: 600 completed surveys, MoE ± 4%.
